Egg shells as a skin

Colour Installation

Egg shells, wood, paint

These fragments of eggshells are arranged by colour, from clear white to dark brown. Most of the eggs come from ordinary chickens. I got them from everywhere, from both organic farms and the supermarket. Colour was my only criterion.

If you look at the entire collection, there is a striking similarity with the many shades of human skin. Next to each dish is a wooden egg shape, painted with watercolours of the same hue, a way to comprehend the subtlety of colour differences.
